    AirAsia Indonesia Airlines will move to Terminal 2E and 2F Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang, Banten, starting Friday, August 12, 2016.

    “These first move is AirAsia began on August 12, 2016 at 03.00 pm to Terminal 2E for international flights and Terminal 2F for domestic flights,” said Head of Corporate Secretary & Legal Agus Haryadi in a written statement on Wednesday.

    Agus said the removal will be done gradually in line with the development plan of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

    The airline is currently operating in the old Terminal 3 is AirAsia and Lion Air flight partly the purpose of Semarang, Yogyakarta, Solo and Denpasar.

    “Where will the two airlines would move to another terminal,” he said.

    Agus said PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) will coordinate with related parties to ensure transfer of AirAsia to Terminal 2E and 2F running smoothly.

    Meanwhile, he added, Lion Air is still operating in the old Terminal 3 until further notice.

    As known to begin August 9, 2016 has operated the new Terminal 3 to serve all domestic flights Garuda Indonesia.

    Later, the old Terminal 3 will be integrated with the new Terminal 3 so that the total can accommodate as many as 25 million passengers per year.

    “Moving gradually aims to maintain flight operations and services at the International Airport can continue to run smoothly in the middle of the development being done,” he said.

    Agus representing PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) apologize if the airline transfer to another terminal cause inconvenience for passengers.

    “However, this is done to make the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport is better and can compete with other world-class airports in ASEAN,” he said.
